Last week, there were reports that Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has been kicked out of his house in Runda over
rent arrears that are running into millions.
“Lipa nyumba ama utatolewa kwa fujo,” is the message Sonko allegedly received from an angry Landlord who even threatened to beat him up.
But in a quick rejoinder, Sonko came out strongly to dispute the allegations claiming that all his three daughters already own houses in Runda and there is no way he can be kicked out of a house he already bought over rent arrears.
But one week later, Sonko who brags how rich he is, sold his prime properties in Mombasa County.

Sonko sold two beach properties estimated at millions of shillings. His property includes two hotels in Watamu and Diani.
According to sources, the flamboyant Senator sold the properties to invest the money in his family and his political manoeuvres.
Another source confirmed that the Nairobi Senator was kicked out of his house in Runda and he sold the two properties to buy a house in Nairobi to avoid being embarrassed again.
